This is a snap of our front door with the sun lighting up the glass. A friend made this stained glass tree for us when we first built our home about 6 years ago. My wife and I had a tree in mind for the front door, although we did not envision the stained glass. We searched high and low for a brass tree that could be mounted on a solid door when we remembered that our friend is an artist who works with stained glass.

We met with her, discussed our vision, and asked her for ideas. She pulled a few design books out and we found the template that suited our vision. Next was deciding the colors and overall feel for the art. After a glass or two of wine, and an hour of looking at different glass the majestic tree was revealed to us.

The tree perfectly reflects the environment where we live in the middle of a forest reserve.
